Modifiers in Salido are customized changes to menu items that customers can request. Examples of modifiers include menu item attributes like extra cheese, grilled onions on a burger, or ordering a steak medium rare. Modifiers are essential for staff effectiveness and customer satisfaction because they allow restaurateurs to add the necessary information to orders and deliver them accurately and quickly.
Customers can provide the exact order information they want, and the kitchen can respond quickly, thanks to how modifiers are integrated into the Salido POS. This helps customers get their meals sooner and to their satisfaction.
Additionally, with Salido modifiers built into the Bridge and POS, staff can set their preferences ahead of time to quickly apply the changes to the order as it goes through the line, saving time and increasing order accuracy.
Modifiers are defined in Modifier Groups, which help streamline order timeliness by allowing staff to quickly tailor the order to the customer by grouping similar modifiers together.
Because many Menu Items have the same or similar corresponding attributes, Modifier Groups can be created with similar Modifiers to apply to individual Menu Items. The groups can then be nested and re-used across your entire menu and on multiple items.
For example, your organization may offer multiple types of cheese for your sandwiches, so you can create a Modifier Group with all your cheese types and apply the Modifier Group to every sandwich on your menu. In addition, the Bridge allows you to apply that same Modifier Group to every burger, salad, wrap, or other menu items that share the same cheese options.
This creates a better customer experience and a more streamlined order process and saves you valuable time along the way.
