The Quick Send button in the Handheld POS check action tray gives servers greater control over the ordering workflow. This feature allows users to send items to the kitchen and remain on the current check screen, bypassing the terminal's default navigation or logout settings.
This feature allows you to:
Send items to the kitchen immediately while staying logged into the current check.
Override the terminal's default Send Items Action (such as Send and Logout or Send and Back to Default View) for specific orders.
Continue modifying the check or adding items without interruption.
Note: The default behavior for sending orders is determined by the Send Items Action setting in the Bridge (Hardware > Terminals). Quick Send provides a dynamic alternative to this configuration.
To Perform a Quick Send on the Handheld POS
1. If logged out to the PIN screen, enter your PIN and tap OK
2. Create a New Check or open an existing one to transfer:
- From the Floor Plan view: Tap the table corresponding to the check. If there are multiple checks at the table, tap the table to bring up the open check list for that table, and select the check you want to open
- From the Checks List view: Tap the check you wish to open from the list of all available checks
3. Add the desired menu item(s) to the check
4. Instead of tapping the Send & Back or Send & Logout button at the bottom of the screen, tap the More Options icon (⋮) in the top right to open the Check Actions menu
5. Tap Send
The menu item(s) have now been sent, and you are still inside the current check:
