Capturing detailed guest requests is fast and easy on the Salido Handheld POS. The Duplicate Modifiers feature allows staff to add multiple instances of the same modifier to an item, perfect for orders like "double extra cheese" or an additional side of sauce. This ensures every special request is accurately entered right at the table, improving order accuracy and kitchen communication.

This feature allows you to:

• Quickly add the same modifier multiple times to an order with a few simple taps on the handheld screen.
• Instantly adjust the quantity of any modifier directly on the check, providing a clear and concise order for the kitchen (e.g., "2x Extra Bacon").

To Add Duplicate Modifiers to a Menu Item on the Handheld POS:

1. If logged out to the PIN screen, enter your PIN and tap OK

2. Create a New Check or open an existing one to discount:

• From the Floor Plan view: Tap the table corresponding to the check. If there are multiple checks at the table, tap the table to bring up the open check list for that table, and select the check you want to open
• From the Checks List view: Tap the check you wish to open from the list of all available checks

3. Tap the Display Group to show the Menu Items in that group (swipe left or right to view more display groups)

4. Tap the desired Menu Item to add to the check

5. Tap the Modifier Group to reveal its list of contained modifiers

6. Tap the modifier button to add as many Duplicate Modifiers as desired (ie, double cheddar)

• To remove an applied modifier from an item:

  1. On the item screen, swipe down starting from the Seat Assignment panel (the area at the top showing S1, S2, etc.). This action will reveal a list of all modifiers currently applied to the item
  2. In this list, tap the X icon next to the specific modifier you wish to remove
  3. To return to the main item editing view, swipe up starting from the Seat Assignment panel

  

7. Tap Done to add the menu item and its modifiers to the check
