The Offline Credit Card Processing feature in the Bridge is a crucial tool for business continuity, allowing you to accept credit card payments even when real-time authorization is unavailable. When enabled, the POS will securely capture and store transactions, automatically submitting them for processing once connectivity is restored. These settings allow you to define the rules and risk limits for these "Good Faith" payments.
Configuring this feature in the Bridge allows you to:
- Enable or disable the Offline Credit Card Processing capability for your restaurant with a single toggle.
- Define your business's risk tolerance by setting specific limits, including the maximum amount for a single transaction and the total number of offline transactions allowed per location.
To Configure Offline Credit Card Processing:
1. Navigate to the Settings > Payments section in the Bridge and select Payment Methods
2. Click the three dots next to the Credit Card Processing payment method you wish to configure, then click Edit
3. Scroll down to the Offline Credit Card Processing section of the payment method and enable it by setting the Enabled toggle to On
4. Configure the Offline Credit Card Processing settings:
A. Set the Max Individual Transaction Amount
(The maximum dollar amount for any single offline transaction. Enter 0 for no limit.)
B. Set the Max # of Transactions per Location

C. Set the Max Total Amount Allowed per Location
