When your terminal loses its connection to the payment processor, Salido will automatically begin storing credit card information to forward once the connection is restored. This is a built-in safety feature that allows you to continue accepting credit card payments securely. During this time, the system will display special notifications to keep you informed about the connection status and any transaction limits.
Note: The enabling of offline processing and transaction limits described in this article are configured in the Bridge by an administrator. For a detailed guide on these settings, please see our article: How to Configure Offline Credit Card Processing in the Bridge.
1. Standard Offline Transaction Notification
- If the terminal is offline when you take a payment, an orange banner will appear at the top of the screen stating: "Unable to reach credit card processor. Transaction will be processed offline." This is an informational message. You can proceed with the transaction as normal; the payment will be securely stored and automatically processed when the terminal reconnects.

5. Managing and Retrying Offline Payments
After your terminal reconnects to EPX, you can use the Notifications panel to manually process any "Good Faith" payments that were accepted while the service was offline.
The "Payment Offline" Notification
When you have pending offline payments, the Notifications panel will display a "Payment Offline" message for each transaction, as well as a summary at the top of the list.
- What it Means: This indicates that a "Good Faith" payment was successfully captured and stored while the terminal was offline and is now waiting to be sent to the payment processor.
- What to Do: You have two options for processing these payments: you can either retry all of them at once or handle them one by one.
