The Tip Settings section in the Bridge allows users to set customizable tipping percentages for their organization. Default tipping percentages are set at 18%, 20%, and 22%, which can be adjusted as needed. Users can configure an organization-wide default and override the tipping options at the location level, ensuring flexibility for individual store needs. Tip percentages are calculated based on the total bill prior to applying discounts or taxes.
- Set organization-wide tipping percentages or create location-specific overrides for maximum flexibility.
- Configure up to three tipping percentage options to display on receipts or the POS.
Note: To make adjustments in this section, users must have the "Set Tip Percentages" permission enabled. For instructions on setting Bridge permissions, click here.
To Configure a Tip Suggestions
1. Navigate to Settings > Payments in the Bridge and select Tip Settings
2. Edit/Configure the Organizational tip suggestions by typing the desired rate in the option fields
3. Edit/Configure any desired Location Override by typing the desired rate in the option field
Note: To undo changes to a single location, click the Reset to Default button on that location's line. To undo ALL changes for the organization, click the Reset button in the bottom right.
4. Click Save to set your organizational and location-based tipping options
