The Schedule Type option dictates how and when tickets are routed and forwarded within the restaurant. When creating a New Prep Schedule, two choices are available in the drop-down menu: Daypart Schedules and Custom Schedule.
-
Daypart Schedules: This option permits users to make use of Dayparts, such as Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, to establish their routing preferences for tickets.
Example: A restaurant selects the "Lunch" daypart, ensuring all tickets from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM are directed to a designated print route or station.
-
Custom Schedule: When a restaurant's operational timing doesn't neatly fit into a standard daypart, the "Custom Schedule" provides an adaptable solution. By choosing this option, users can specify distinct time frames and print routes to cater to their unique requirements.
Example: Suppose a restaurant hosts a special "Late-Night Menu" from 10:00 PM to midnight on Fridays. They can use the "Custom Schedule" to set a distinct print route for tickets during this unique time frame.
- Both types are exclusionary and cannot be used simultaneously.
