If your business has many ingredients, which it likely does, Salido has a Bulk Import function to simplify the management of this extensive list. Below are the instructions for importing or editing various ingredients at once using the Bulk Import function.
To Bulk Upload Ingredients into Salido:
1. To begin the bulk upload process, navigate to the Menu section in the Bridge and select Ingredients
2. Click Bulk Ingredient Upload which will automatically direct you to the Bulk Imports section of the Utilities Menu. The import Job Type will automatically be set to Ingredients
Alternatively, the Bulk Upload function can be accessed by navigating to the Settings section of the Bridge, clicking Utilities, and selecting Bulk Imports, and choosing Menu Item from the Job Type drop-down menu
For a first-time import of Ingredients, skip to Step 6; otherwise, proceed to the next step.
3. To make changes to your existing Ingredient list, select Bulk Export from the drop-down menu at the top of the screen
4. Select Ingredient from the Job Type drop-down, then click Bulk Export Menu Item
5. Navigate to the folder where the file was saved, open it, and skip to Step 8
6. To enter new Ingredients into the pre-formatted spreadsheet, click Open Ingredient Google Sheet and the Bridge user will be redirected to a Google Sheets document that has been formatted for import into Salido
7. Click Make a copy which will open your organization's private copy of the spreadsheet template
8. Edit and fill out your Ingredients list to prepare it for bulk import
Note: the "name" column is required and must be filled out for a successful import. All other columns are optional.
9. Download the file in CSV format to your computer
10. Return to the Bulk Import menu in the Bridge and click Bulk Ingredient Upload to begin the import process
Note: Bulk Import will overwrite your current data.
11. Selecting the upload button will open a file explorer. Navigate to the location where the file was saved and select the correct file, e.g., ingredients.csv
12. Open the file to import it into the Bridge
When the file has been successfully imported, you will see the status message displayed in the Uploads notification window saying, "Finished Success."
If the Bulk Upload is unsuccessful, you will see the status message "Finished Failure," with the error message displayed to the right of it.
