Check Profiles in the Bridge facilitate efficient check routing in restaurants. They allow users to:
- Determine when an item on the check is sent to its associated Prep Profile.
- Handle situations where two servers access the same check from different POS terminals simultaneously, ensuring check consistency.
- Configure specific actions for checks like auto-close when paid in full.
To set up a New Check Profile:
1. In the Bridge, navigate to the Settings section, then click Restaurant Operations > Check Profiles
2. Click + New Check Profile
3. Select the Location or Group from the drop-down menu to which you want to apply the new Check Profile
A new Check Profile Group can be created from this drop-down menu. Click + New Check Profile Group and follow the instructions at this link for setting up a New Check Profile Group. Create the new group and return to Check Profiles to continue with the setup.
4. Choose the action to take when a server exits a check by selecting the desired choice from the drop-down menu
You can choose from the following options:
- NONE — Take no action
- PROMPT — Prompt server A that server B has exited the check and let them choose what happens next
- AUTO_FIRE — Automatically send all outstanding check information to its respective destination
5. Set the Check Warning Minimum (in minutes)
Check Warning Minimum corresponds to the TIME OPEN field in the POS database, which indicates the duration for which the check has been opened. If the time exceeds the set minimum, the display in the POS turns red as a warning; otherwise, it remains green. Default is set to 120 minutes.
6. Click Save to keep your changes
