The Gift Cards payment configuration in the Bridge manages in-store physical gift card transactions and digital e-gift card purchases. This flexible payment solution streamlines checkout workflows, enhances guest convenience, and secures operational revenue:
- Design Online Portals — Customize the guest-facing purchase interface and automated emails with a unique brand image.
- Configure Multi-Location Issuance — Define unique Merchant IDs and Secret Keys per location to route transaction revenue directly to individual stores.
- Automate Purchase Links — Generate distinct purchase URLs for separate Location Revenue Centers to embed directly on restaurant websites.
- Manage Terminal Settings — Toggle card activation states and specify tip eligibility on POS terminals.
To Create a New Gift Card Payment Method in the Bridge:
1. Navigate to the Settings > Payments section in the Bridge and select Payment Methods
2. Scroll down to Gift Cards and click + Add
3. Configure the Gift Card
- Enter the Name for the new Gift Card payment method, e.g., "Holiday Gift Card"
- Tick the Is Enabled box to enable the Gift Card in the POS
- Tick or untick the Tippable box to determine whether tips can be accepted when this payment method is used
- Enter the Merchant ID (This will be obtained by your administrator from Salido support)
- Enter the Secret Key (This will be obtained by your administrator from Salido support)
- Upload a Brand Image — Select and upload your restaurant's logo or branding image to customize the appearance of the online guest purchase portal and recipient emails (Recommend using an image file under 1MB)
4. Click Save to keep your changes
5. To Adjust Location Override settings, scroll down to Gift Cards once more and click the ellipsis (⋮) next to the Gift Card you just configured, then click Edit
6. Click the Location Overrides tab
7. Tick the box(es) next to the Location(s) and Revenue Center(s) where this gift card will be accepted
8. Click Save to save your changes
To Adjust the Settings for a Gift Card:
1. Navigate to the Settings > Payments section in the Bridge and select Payment Methods
2. Scroll down to Gift Cards and click the ellipsis (⋮) next to the Gift Card to be adjusted, then click Edit
3. Reconfigure the Gift Card
- Edit the Name for the new Gift Card payment method, e.g., "Holiday Gift Card"
- Tick or untick the Is Enabled box to enable or disable the Gift Card in the POS
- Tick or untick the Tippable box to determine whether tips can be accepted when this payment method is used
- Edit the Merchant ID (This will be obtained by your administrator from Salido support)
- Edit the Secret Key (This will be obtained by your administrator from Salido support)
- Upload or edit the Brand Image — Replace or upload a logo or branding image to style the digital purchase portal and emails (Recommend using an image file under 1MB)
4. Click Save to save your changes
5. To Adjust Location Override settings, scroll down to Gift Cards once more and click the ellipsis (⋮) next to the Gift Card to be adjusted, then click Edit
6. Click the Location Overrides tab
7. To edit where the Gift Card will be accepted, tick or untick the box(es) next to the Location(s) and Revenue Center(s)
8. Click Save to save your changes
To Retrieve Digital Gift Card Purchase Links:
1. Navigate to the Settings > Payments section in the Bridge and select Payment Methods
2. Scroll down to Gift Cards, click the ellipsis (⋮) next to the active Gift Card payment method, and select Edit
3. Scroll down to the Digital Gift Card Purchase Links section and click the row of the location you with to configure
Note: Revenue Center Association
Digital gift card purchase links are automatically generated and unique to each individual Location Revenue Center. This ensures that guest purchase revenue is correctly allocated to the specific location and revenue center rather than a shared general pool.
4. Locate the desired Revenue Center, right click, and copy the corresponding purchase link URL. Or, to visit the link directly, click the revenue center's tile to be redirected to it
5. Paste or embed this copied URL directly into your restaurant's main website (e.g., behind a Buy Gift Card button) to allow guests to purchase digital e-gift cards online
