The Batch Report provides a comprehensive overview of credit card transactions processed within a specific timeframe. It includes detailed information about each transaction, such as the card brand, entry method, approval status, and associated amounts. The report also captures data relevant to the transaction, such as the employee who processed it, the location where it occurred, and the date and time. Additionally, the Batch Report offers insights into totals and breakdowns by card type, as well as refund information.
There are three sections to the Batch Report:
- Batch Summary: Provides an overview of totals and counts for the entire batch.
- Transaction Detail: Details each individual transaction within the batch.
- Transaction Detail: Voids, Refunds, and Declines: Focuses specifically on voided, refunded, or declined transactions.
Each section can be further customized using the columns defined in the Batch Report Glossary.
Navigating the Batch Report:
- To expand each section of the Batch Report, click on the section title located in the upper left corner of each section:

I. Batch Summary
This section offers a high-level overview of the batch's performance, summarizing key totals and counts. This allows you to assess the overall financial activity within the batch quickly, including total transactions, refunds, voids, and breakdowns by card type.
Default columns:
- Count: The total number of transactions in the batch.
- Refund Total: The total amount of refunds processed within the batch.
- Void Total: The total amount of voided transactions within the batch.
- [Card Brand] Total: The total transaction amount for each specific card brand (Visa, Amex, Mastercard, Discover, Citi).
- Credit Card Total: The total transaction amount for all credit card payments in the batch.
II. Transaction Detail
Dive deeper into the specifics of each transaction within the batch. This section provides a granular view of individual transactions, including details like the card brand, entry method, approval status, and associated amounts. This information is crucial for identifying trends, reconciling transactions, and troubleshooting any discrepancies.
Default columns:
- Batch: The unique identifier for the batch.
- Transaction Date: The date and time of the transaction.
- Card Brand: The brand of the credit card used.
- Cardholder Name: The name of the cardholder.
- Card Last 4 Digits: The last four digits of the credit card number.
- Type: The type of transaction (e.g., Auth, Capture, Void, Refund).
- Status: The status of the transaction (e.g., Success, Failure).
- Approval: The approval code for the transaction.
- BRIC: The BuyerWall Recognized Identification Code.
- Card Entry: The method used to enter the card information.
- Employee: The employee who processed the transaction.
- Terminal ID: The ID of the terminal where the transaction was processed.
- Total: The total amount of the individual transaction.
III. Transaction Detail: Voids, Refunds, and Declines
This section focuses specifically on transactions that were voided, refunded, or declined. By isolating these transactions, you can quickly identify potential issues, analyze trends in refunds or voids, and investigate the reasons for declined transactions. This focused view helps you manage exceptions and maintain the accuracy of your financial records.
Default columns:
- Batch: The unique identifier for the batch.
- Transaction Date: The date and time of the transaction.
- Card Brand: The brand of the credit card used.
- Cardholder Name: The name of the cardholder.
- Card Last 4 Digits: The last four digits of the credit card number.
- Type: The type of transaction (e.g., Auth, Capture, Void, Refund).
- Status: The status of the transaction (e.g., Success, Failure).
- Approval: The approval code for the transaction.

It facilitates various capabilities that traditionally necessitated the storage of cardholder data, such as issuing refunds, managing recurring or return transactions, and performing historical reviews. Therefore, the system will continue to attempt to retry the transactions in the background until a final BRIC from EPX is resolved, ensuring secure transaction processing and customer data management. |
