The ability to remotely clock out an employee from the Bridge allows managers to manage employee activity across all devices in real time efficiently. When an employee is clocked out remotely, they are automatically logged out of all devices they are currently using.
- Ensure Compliance and Security: Remote clock-outs ensure employees are logged out of all devices, preventing unauthorized POS use and protecting sensitive information.
- Streamline Management Processes: Managers can quickly clock out employees who forget, ensuring accurate records and smooth shift transitions.
Note: Bridge users must have the Manage Time Cards permission in their role to clock out employees remotely. For instructions on granting permissions in Bridge Roles, click here.
To Remotely Clock Out an Employee:
1. Navigate to the Staff section in the Bridge and select Time Cards
2. If you know how to search for the Employee(s) or Time Card(s) you are looking for, enter that information and follow the instructions below. Otherwise, see the help section for How to Search for Employee Shifts in the Bridge
3. Click the row of the time card to open the shift editing interface
4. Enter the shift's end date and time, then click Save & Close
After clicking Save & Close, the employee is clocked out of all terminals and receives a notification: 'You have been remotely clocked out. This terminal will refresh in 5 seconds.'
