Force closing a cash bank in the Salido system is sometimes necessary when resolving discrepancies or finalizing the day’s cash handling before running EOD. This action ensures that all cash is accounted for, even if the usual process encounters issues.
- Example 1: A cashier forgets to close their cash bank, and you need to finalize it manually to proceed with EOD.
- Example 2: There’s a discrepancy in the cash count, and the cash bank needs to be force-closed to investigate and reconcile the difference.
Warning: Force closing a cash bank without reconciling discrepancies can lead to accounting errors and make it difficult to track down cash shortages or overages later.
