Manually clocking out an employee in the POS is essential when immediate action is needed, primarily when EOD hasn’t yet run or is being done manually. This ensures all employees’ shifts are accurately ended and accounted for.
- Example 1: An employee forgets to clock out mid-shift, and you need to close out their hours before the scheduled EOD.
- Example 2: An employee leaves unexpectedly, and their shift needs to be manually ended to ensure accurate timekeeping before EOD is completed.
To Manually Clock Out an Employee in the POS:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tap to bring up the POS options
3. Tap End of Day to open the EOD interface
4. Once in the EOD interface, to clock out a single employee, tap the Clock Out button next to that employee
That employee will now be removed from the list:
5. To Force clock out all employees, tap the Clock Out All button
6. To confirm clocking out all employees, tap Continue; otherwise, tap Cancel
Note: If a job position has the "Skip Auto Clockout" setting enabled in the Bridge, employees with that position will not be clocked out when using the "Clock Out All" function. To clock out these employees, follow the steps above to manually clock them out.
After tapping Continue, all employees will now be clocked out and removed from the Employees Still clocked-in list:
