Adding menu items to the Favorites palette in the Bridge enhances the POS Menu Screen, ensuring quick access to popular or high-margin items. This functionality allows:
- Highlighting of frequently ordered items for faster selection during busy hours.
- Promotion of high-margin items to encourage upselling by staff.
To Add Menu Items to the Favorites in the Bridge:
1. Navigate to the Menu section in the Bridge and select Menus
2. Create a new Menu Screen by following the instructions here and returning to this step, or click the row of the Menu Screen you wish to edit
3. Under the Organization tab, scroll down to POS View, then click the Display Group for the group you want to add items to Favorites
4. Scroll to the item buttons for the selected display group and click Select Mode
5. Tick the box(es) next to the item(s) to be added to Favorites, then click the Favorite button
The selected Menu Items will now have a gold star in the upper-right corner of the button.
6. Click Save to keep your changes
The Menu Items selected as Favorites will now display first in the POS and have a gold star.
