Bridge Roles in your organization define the level of interaction managers have in the Bridge, setting permissions for access to various features.
Some of these permissions can have further refined controls through advanced settings, allowing you to specify which reports a manager can view in a given role.
-
Discount Report:
A report analyzing the frequency and total value of discounts given. Useful for identifying unusual patterns or potential fraud through in-depth analysis of discount application. -
Void Report:
Tracks voided transactions to monitor for atypical activity or patterns that may indicate fraudulent behavior within restaurant operations. -
Product Mix Report:
Assesses sales distribution among menu items, aiding in refining the menu and managing inventory effectively based on customer choices. -
Tender Report:
Provides detailed information on the payment methods customers use, assisting in sales reconciliation and understanding customer payment trends.
To Configure Advanced Settings to Grant Permissions to View Reports:
1. Navigate to the Staff section in the Bridge, select Bridge Roles
2. Click the row of the role you wish to edit to bring up the permissions for that role
3. Click Edit in the bottom right
The gear icon next to Manage Reporting will now be clickable.
4. Select the specific reports the role is authorized to view. Below the individual reports, configure the scheduling and custom report management permissions within the orange-highlighted section:
- Create and Manage Scheduled Reports — Grant ability to create recurring report delivery schedules and manage them from the Scheduled Reports Dashboard.
- Add and Manage 3rd Party Contacts for Scheduled Reports — Grant ability to add external email recipients (such as accountants) who do not have Bridge user accounts to report schedules.
- Manage Others' Custom Reports — Grant ability to view, edit, or delete custom report views created by other users.
- Manage My Own Custom Reports — Grant ability to save, modify, or delete personal custom report views.
Important: Advanced Reporting Capabilities
Enabling Scheduled Reports and Custom Saved Views allows managers to automate report delivery and tailor dashboards to their specific workflow. To ensure security, restrict the Add and Manage 3rd Party Contacts and Manage Others' Custom Reports permissions to administrative or high-level supervisor roles only.
5. Click Done to save your selections, then click Save
