Creating a price level while editing a menu item is useful in scenarios where you need to adjust the item's price based on specific conditions without affecting its standard listing.

Example Scenario: Happy Hour Specials

Let's say you are editing the "Classic Margarita" menu item in the Bridge. Normally, the drink is priced at $8. However, you want to offer a special price during Happy Hour, which is $5 from 4 PM to 7 PM on weekdays. Instead of changing the price daily, you can create a price level specifically for Happy Hour while editing the "Classic Margarita" menu item.

To Create a Price Level from Within a Menu Item:

1. Navigate to the Menu section of the Bridge and select Items

2. Find the Menu Item to add a Price Level to by using the search bar or list view, and click the row to open the configuration panel

3. In the About section on the left, scroll down and click + Add Price Levels

4. Click New Price Level to open the Price Level setup menu

5. Fill in the Price Level Name, e.g., Dinner

6. Define where and when the Price Level should be used:

A. Click Select Locations to bring up the modal to select the Location(s) and their respective Revenue Center(s). After making the selections, click Add Location

B. Select the desired Ordering Channel(s) by ticking the boxes inside the drop-down menu

C. Select the Order Type(s) to which this Price Level will apply from the drop-down menu

D. Select the Schedule Type (for an explanation of Schedule Type, click here)

E. Select the Day(s) of the Week to apply the Price Level

F. Select the Daypart(s) by ticking the appropriate boxes inside the drop-down menu

G. Click Create Price Level

7. Arrange the newly created Price Level in priority with other Price Levels by clicking the six dots icon (⠿) next to the Price Level and dragging it with your mouse to the desired ranking position

8. Click Save

The newly created Price Level will now be available to add to the Menu Item. To add the Price Level to the Menu Item, select the check box next to the Price Level and click Add Selected
