Salido's Discount functionality in the Bridge allows for tailored price adjustments to the total check or individual items. Recording discount reasons provides valuable insights for enhancing operations, including staff training and food preparation. The Bridge offers various discount types:

• Fixed Amount Discounts: Specific dollar reductions, such as a "$5.00 Fridays!" promotion for discounted drinks.
• Fixed Percentage Discounts: Constant percentage deductions, like a standard 10% Senior Discount.
• Open Amount: Manually entered discounts, allowing for flexibility, for instance, offering a compensation discount for a poor dining experience.
• Open Percentage: A manually entered percentage reduction, ideal for promotions like a "Spin the Wheel" game where the discount varies.

To Create a Discount Reason:

1. Navigate to the Settings section in the Bridge and select Payments > Discount Reasons

2. Click + New Discount Reason to bring up the New Discount Reason interface

3. Enter a name in the required Reason field, e.g., "Birthday Discount." Toggle the Enabled switch to enable the discount reason in the POS

4. Click the button to save your New Discount Reason

You will now see the Discount Reason in the list.

To Edit a Discount Reason:

1. Navigate to the Settings section in the Bridge and select Payments > Discount Reasons

2. Click the row of the Discount Reason you wish to edit, and repeat Steps 3 through 4 above
