The Permission Groups feature enhances organization and streamlines processes:
- Eliminates the need to repeatedly create roles and permissions for each location.
- Groups multiple locations together, allowing them to share a common set of permissions.
- Facilitates the creation of Group Policies for various Bridge Roles, bolstering both security and operational efficiency.
To Create a Group Policy for a Bridge Role:
1. After creating at least one Bridge Role, navigate to the Staff section in the Bridge, select Bridge Roles
2. Click the row of the role you wish to edit to bring up the permissions for that role
3. Select the Group Overrides tab and click + Add Group Policy to bring up the group selection, edit, and creation menu
4. To add permissions for a previously-created Permission Group, select it from the drop-down menu to bring up the Group's permission list
For instructions on creating and editing Permission Groups from within the Group Overrides section, click here.
5. Select the Grant Permission header checkbox to enable all permissions inherited from the organization level. Additionally, tick the Access Location Groups checkbox if you want to grant the role access to location groups. Note that individual permissions are greyed out as they are inherited directly from the organization-level role configuration.
Note: Bridge Role Group Policy Inheritance
Group Overrides for Bridge Roles automatically inherit their permissions from the organizational level. Individual permissions cannot be edited or customized independently at the Group level. Administrators can only grant the full set of organization-level permissions by selecting the Grant Permission header, and optionally toggle the Access Location Groups permission.
6. Click Save to save your new Group Policy
