Job Position
A Job Position is a specific title that accurately corresponds to an employee's duties within your organization.
Common examples of Job Positions include:
- Server
- Bartender
- Dishwasher
- Line Cook
- Cashier
- Floor Manager
- General Manager
- Director of Operations
Under the Job Positions menu, you can add any number of positions and edit them to suit your organization's needs. As security is a top priority for all restaurants, with the creation of each Job Position, permissions governing access to various features of the POS must be assigned using Roles.
Roles
Roles are a defined set of permissions that govern employee access to features in the Bridge and POS. Bridge and POS Roles are created and managed at the Organizational level and are assigned to Job Positions to give them the appropriate permissions.
The Users and Roles Menu in Salido allows your restaurant to define the permissions given to your employees. Some employees will require access to the Bridge and POS, while others may only need limited access to the POS to carry out their duties. There are endless combinations of Roles and Positions, and assigning them correctly should be done with proper planning and attention to detail.
The following features can be configured under the Users and Roles Menu in the Bridge:
- Bridge Roles are a defined set of permissions that govern employee access to features in the Bridge.
- POS Roles are a defined set of permissions that govern employee access to features in the POS.
- Bridge Users displays a list of employees that have permission to use the configuration tools in the Bridge and allows current Bridge users to invite others to the Bridge and POS. All Bridge Users must be assigned a Bridge Role to use the system.
- Permission Groups allow you to create a group of locations that share the same permission policies.
