Salido allows users to modify the sequence of unsent menu items on a check prior to sending the order to the kitchen. This capability enables servers to correct order entry errors or reorganize courses efficiently without deleting and re-entering items. This feature allows you to:
Move single or multiple unsent items up or down within the check view.
Group multiple selected items together to move them simultaneously.
Correct the order sequence instantly before finalizing the send to the kitchen.
Note: In order to use this feature, a user must have the Update Checks permission enabled in their POS Role. For information on how to configure POS Roles, click here.
Understanding Movement Restrictions
Sent vs. Unsent: Unsent items cannot be moved above items that have already been sent to the kitchen.
Seat Assignments: If Use hotkeys is enabled for Seat Assignment, items can only be rearranged within their assigned seat block.
To Rearrange a Single Item:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tap to bring up the POS options
3. Tap the Check button to open the Check List View, or tap the Floor Plan button to open the Floor Plan View
4. Open the check:
- By tapping the check in the Checks List view
- Or, tapping the table with that check from the Tables view
- Or, create a new check
5. Add the desired menu items to the check
6. Select the item you wish to move up or down by tapping it
7. Tap the Up or Down arrows to move the desired item in the list, eg, move Apple Juice (Jumbo) to the top
Tap the arrows until the item is in the desired order:
To Rearrange Multiple Items:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tap to bring up the POS options
3. Tap the Check button to open the Check List View, or tap the Floor Plan button to open the Floor Plan View
4. Open the check:
- By tapping the check in the Checks List view
- Or, tapping the table with that check from the Tables view
- Or, create a new check
5. Add the desired menu items to the check
6. Select the items you wish to move up or down by tapping a single item and then ticking the box(es) next to the additional item(s) in the selection screen
7. Tap the Up or Down arrows to move the desired items in the list, eg, move both Apple Juice (Jumbo)s to the top
Tap the arrows until the items are in the desired order:
