Items with an open price, such as a market price special or a miscellaneous charge, require you to enter the price manually when adding them to a check. Tapping an Open-Priced item on the menu will immediately open a keypad modal, allowing you to enter the correct price for the item before it's added to the guest's bill.
This feature allows you to:
- Manually enter a custom price for an item when adding it to a check.
- Add priced modifiers, which will correctly calculate on top of the custom price you entered.
- Apply discounts, assign seats, and split checks for open-priced items just as you would for any standard menu item.
Prior to using the Open Price feature, menu items must be configured in the Bridge. For instructions on How to Create and Configure Open-Priced Menu Items in the Bridge, click here.
