The ability to adjust the starting amount in a Cash Bank in Salido is essential for accommodating any discrepancies in the initial cash balance. Salido makes it easy to make these adjustments so the server and the restaurant can maintain accurate cash transaction records throughout a shift while promoting financial transparency and accountability.
To Adjust the Starting Amount in a Cash Bank:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. On the home screen of the POS, tap the button to bring up the features menu
3. Select "Cash Banks" from the options
3. If the employee doesn't have a Cash Bank, follow the instructions to open one here. If a Cash Bank already exists, choose the appropriate one from the list to make the deposit
4. Tap the Cash Bank you want to view, and you'll be shown the Cash Bank details
5. Tap the Adjust Starting Amount button in the bottom left
6. Make the adjustment to the original Dollar Amount, enter the reason for the adjustment in the Notes, and tap the green button to save your changes
7. The new amount will now be shown in the bottom left
