The Salido Bridge allows managers to configure a specific receipt printer to automatically generate a guest receipt when an online order is released to the kitchen. This automation ensures that kitchen staff and order packagers have immediate access to printed guest summaries alongside kitchen prep tickets, streamlining order fulfillment and ensuring accuracy for online takeout and delivery orders.
This feature allows you to:
- Select a specific receipt printer at your location to automatically print a guest receipt when an online order is fired.
- Maintain independent printer configurations for each distinct location's online ordering setup.
- Disable guest receipt printing for online orders by selecting the None option.
Prerequisites: Configuring this feature requires a Bridge user account with edit permissions for OLO Configurations enabled in their Bridge Role, and at least one active receipt printer configured in the Bridge at the desired location.
To Configure Guest Receipt Printing for Online Orders:
1. Navigate to the Settings > Ordering section in the Bridge and select OLO Configurations
2. Select the Assignments tab from the top of the OLO Configurations dashboard
3. Locate the active location in the list, click the three-vertical-dots icon (⋮), and select Edit
4. Scroll down to the Payments and Checkout section of the configuration page
5. Below the Select Credit Card Payment Method field, locate the Receipt Printer drop-down menu
6. Click the Receipt Printer drop-down menu and select the desired receipt printer from the list
Note: Only receipt printers configured for the same location will appear in the drop-down menu list. To disable automatic guest receipt printing, select the None option.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to commit your configurations
Understanding Online Order Print Workflows
Once a receipt printer is assigned to your online ordering configuration, the printing workflow operates automatically as orders flow into your venue:
- Simultaneous Firing: When an online order releases (fires) to the kitchen, both the kitchen prep ticket (chit) and the guest receipt print simultaneously at their respective stations.
- Location-Specific Scope: Because this setting is configured within the specific location Assignment (rather than the general OLO template), each location can route guest receipts to its own dedicated packaging table or front-counter printer.
- Print Failures & Retries: If a printing failure or network disruption occurs, the check does not display on-screen warnings at the terminal level because online orders operate without an active terminal "owner". To review or retry failed print jobs, navigate to the Print Jobs section from inside the check on the POS terminal.
