Managing your Order Types in the Bridge may sometimes require removing those that are no longer in use, such as a temporary "Holiday Special" or an outdated delivery service. The Bridge offers a straightforward process for deleting these. To prevent the accidental removal of a critical Order Type, the system includes a confirmation step before the deletion is finalized.
Deleting an Order Type allows you to:
- Permanently remove any Order Type that is no longer needed for your restaurant's daily operations or reporting.
- Receive a confirmation warning via a pop-up modal when attempting to delete an active Order Type, ensuring you don't accidentally remove a critical part of your workflow.
To Delete an Order Type in the Bridge:
1. Navigate to Settings > Ordering in the Bridge and click on Order Types
2. Click the three dots next to the order type you wish to delete, then click Delete
3. Click Continue to confirm deleting the Order Type
Warning: This action is irreversible. Before proceeding, please verify that the Order Type is not set as a default for any Terminals or Online Ordering (OLO) configurations as this could cause operational issues.
