For complete oversight of any check, the Check Activity log on your Salido POS provides a detailed, timestamped record of every transaction and modification. This comprehensive audit trail—which includes every item added, discount applied, and payment made—is accessible directly from the terminal, handheld terminals, and is also stored in the Bridge for later review.
This feature is essential for:
- Resolving guest questions or check discrepancies by tracing the complete lifecycle of an order, from the first item added to the final payment.
- Ensuring staff accountability with a clear audit trail that shows precisely which employee made each change and exactly when it occurred.
To view Check Activity on the POS:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tap to bring up the POS options
3. Tap the Check button to open the Check List View, or tap the Floor Plan button to open the Floor Plan View
4. Open the check to view its activity:
- By tapping the check in the Checks List view
- Or, tapping the table with that check from the Tables view
5. Tap the pencil icon above the check details panel
6. Tap the Check Activity tab
7. Scroll up or down to view all of the check's activity, then tap Done to exit
