Configuring terminals to use guest names in Salido allows bars and restaurants to simplify guest interactions, enhance service efficiency, and manage bar tabs or to-go orders more effectively. This functionality enables staff to assign guest names to checks instead of relying on check numbers, making retrieving and matching checks with specific customers easier.

To Configure Check Name in Terminal Settings:
1. In the Bridge, navigate to Settings > Devices, and then click Terminals
2. Select the appropriate Location from the drop-down menu to assign the Terminal to that specific location
3. Click + New Terminal or, click the row of the terminal you want to edit
4. Scroll down to the Settings section, click the drop-down menu for Check Name and choose your desired setting:
Note: The "Check name" drop-down in the Bridge offers three configuration options:
- Default: The Check name field is hidden on the 'Create check' modal.
- Optional: The Check name field is visible but not required.
- Required: A Check name must be entered to create a check.
5. Click Save to store your terminal configuration
