The Salido integration with Fresh KDS provides a kitchen display system for restaurants to manage orders, streamline kitchen processes, and reduce ticket times.
This integration allows you to:
- Eliminate errors and reduce ticket times using digital displays.
- Personalize your KDS with different themes, colors, and sounds.
Generating the API Token in Fresh KDS
Create an API token directly within your Fresh KDS web dashboard to securely link the display system to your point of sale.
1. Log in to your Fresh KDS web account
2. Navigate to Settings in the top left and select Integration Tokens
3. Click Create Token
4. Enter a token description (It is recommended to use a name that associates the token with the specific location where the display will be used.)
5. Click Create Token
6. Copy the newly generated token to your clipboard for the next steps
Enabling the Integration in the Bridge
Enter your generated token into the Bridge to establish the connection for your specific location.
1. Navigate to the Settings section of the Bridge and select Integrations > Integrations Marketplace
2. Click the Fresh KDS tile to open the configuration interface
3. Click Enable This Integration
4. Paste your copied token into the Token field
5. Type Salido into the Brand field
5. Set the location toggle to the on position for the desired restaurant
6. Click Configure Integration to save
Configuring the Fresh KDS App on the Device
Set up the display hardware using the Fresh KDS iPad or Android application to route orders from the POS to the screen.
1. Download the Fresh KDS app from the App Store on your display tablet
2. Open the app and log in using the same credentials used for the web dashboard
3. Choose the desired location from the list (e.g., Eleven Madison Park) and tap Next
4. Enter a recognizable name in the Name field (e.g., Kitchen 1) and tap Next
5. Scroll through the alphabetical list of POS options, select Salido, and tap Next
6. Complete any additional configuration prompts for your specific hardware setup, such as connecting Bluetooth or routing physical printers
Syncing and Confirming the Display in the Bridge
1. Navigate to the Settings section of the Bridge and select Integrations > Integrations Marketplace
2. Click the active Fresh KDS tile to open the configuration interface
3. Click Sync This Integration. A green success banner reading "Fresh KDS Sync Success!" will appear at the top of the screen
4. Navigate to Settings > Devices > Displays to verify the integration
5. Confirm that your named KDS screen (e.g., Kitchen 1) appears in the list with an Active badge and lists Fresh KDS as the Integration Type
