POS users must be able to locate a specific check quickly. Efficient search functionality helps managers, bartenders, and expediters resolve guest issues swiftly and manage orders effectively. Salido provides a comprehensive search platform with multiple filter options, enabling users to locate specific checks efficiently.
To Search for a Check in the POS:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tap to bring up the POS options
3. Tap the Check button to open the Checks List View
Find a Check Using the Search Bar
1. From the Check List view, tap the Search icon to enter Search Mode and expand the keyboard
2. Enter a query term into the search field
3. For a more detailed query, use the Search bar in conjunction with the Filters function described below
When using the Search Bar, the list of checks will be sorted based on matches in the following fields:
- Check Label
- Check Number
- Check Total
- Employee
After typing a search term, the keyboard can be dismissed by:
- Tap the "Return" arrow on the keyboard.
- Scrolling the list of checks.
- Tapping anywhere outside the touch targets.
- The search term remains in the search box, and the list remains filtered.
Tapping the "X" inside the search box will clear the query term while keeping any applied filters intact.
4. To exit Search Mode, tap the desired check from the list, or, tap Done
Find a Check Using Filters
1. From the Check List view, tap any of the drop-down menus to filter the list of checks
2. For a more detailed query, use the Filter function in conjunction with the Search Bar described above
Available filters include:
- Revenue Centers (default: All Revenue Centers)
- Order Type (default: All Order Types)
- Ordering Channel (default: All Channels)
Tapping the Reset Filters button will clear all applied filters but keep any previously entered search term in the search box.
3. To exit Search Mode, tap the desired check in the list, or, tap Done
