FEATURES & ENHANCEMENTS
- Search by Bin Number - Menu items may be looked up by their bin number using the item search. The bin number for an item will also be displayed on the check for easy verification.
- Bin Number Field in Menu Item Builder - A Bin Number field has been added to the menu item builder in the Bridge below POS Name. This optional field appears on kitchen tickets when configured, and can be added to items both individually and via the menu uploader.
- Permission Control for Open Priced Menu Items - Menu items with flexible pricing can now require permission to order by selecting ‘Open - requires permission to order’ under Price Type in the Bridge. When enabled, ordering this item will utilize and respect the ‘Update Check Pricing’ permission set for the user.
- Tax Rule Category and Item Selections - Tax rules in the Bridge can now be configured by name and assigned to entire menu categories or to individual menu items. Managers have the flexibility to include or exclude custom selections of items to ensure tax rules automatically apply across the menu.
- Tax Rule Selection for Menu Categories - The menu category builder in the Bridge includes a new dropdown for assigning specific tax rules. This provides more granular control over how taxes apply to entire menu categories.
- Menu Item Tax Rule Options - Managers can now view and adjust tax rules directly within the menu item builder, simplifying item-specific tax configuration. Menu items can inherit tax rules from their assigned menu category or be configured with custom rules that automatically sync with the tax rule builder.
- Zero Percent Tax Rates - Tax rules can now accept a zero percent entry for the rate, which supports accurate configuration for states without a sales tax or for tax-exempt items.
- New Default Kitchen Prep Ticket - The default kitchen prep ticket has been redesigned with an improved layout, larger fonts, and better organization to enhance readability in the kitchen. Critical alerts are now more prominent, and text wrapping for menu items has been significantly reduced to ensure orders are clear and concise.
- Clearer Error Message for Prep Profile Printers - An improved error message is displayed when attempting to delete a printer that is in use by a Prep Profile, clarifying that it must first be unassigned.
- Invalid Card Swipe Error Message - The POS now displays an "Invalid Card Type" message if a card other than a gift card is swiped when looking up or adding a gift card. This provides immediate feedback and allows staff to quickly swipe the correct card.
- Processing Transaction Button Lockout - Payment-related buttons are temporarily disabled after being tapped. This prevents errors that could occur from tapping a button multiple times in rapid succession while a transaction is processing.
- Rerouted Print Job Error Notification - A pop-up notification will appear on the terminal when a ticket is rerouted to a backup printer due to a print failure. This ensures staff are aware of the change and can retrieve the ticket from the correct location.
- Menu Screen Visibility by Revenue Center - Menu screen availability on the POS terminals is now determined by the revenue center selected during check creation. This ensures menu screens strictly honor revenue center assignments rather than defaulting to terminal settings.
BUG FIXES
- Resolved an issue where an unexpected error prevented some users from accessing the manager role in Bridge. The manager role is now accessible as expected.
- Resolved an issue that caused some special characters, such as accented letters and backslashes, to not print or to print as "Invalid Text" on receipts. Item names and other text containing these characters now appear correctly on all printed receipts.
- Resolved an issue where check numbers in the credit tip audit section of printed shift reports were vertically misaligned. Printed shift reports now display check numbers correctly formatted across a single line.
- Additional product updates targeted at improving usability and customer experience.
