Maintaining accurate menu item counts is crucial for efficient restaurant operations. The Salido system provides tools to easily adjust item counts, prevent overselling, and manage item availability directly from the POS interface.
- Real-Time Count Updates: Modify menu item counts and view changes reflected instantly across all terminals.
- Availability Control: Prevent items from being ordered by adjusting counts, toggling items out of stock (86'ing), and managing variants.
To Adjust Menu Item Count in the POS:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tap to bring up the POS options
3. Tap Edit Menu to open the menu editing interface
4. Select the menu you wish to edit by tapping the drop-down menu in the top left of the screen
5. Tap the Menu Group to scroll to the item you wish to edit, or tap the item directly if visible
6. To 86 a menu item from the Menu Item edit modal:
- Tap the Mark as unavailable (86) toggle to the ON position (it will turn orange)
- To apply this 86 to all variants of this item (ex. Small, Medium, Large), tick the check box by tapping it
- Tap Confirm Changes to save your choices
7. To set stock count from the Menu Item edit modal:
- Toggle the in stock slider to on (it will turn orange)
- Enter the stock count and tap Confirm Changes to enable the count in the POS
On the menu screen, items marked as 86'd are dimmed and unavailable, whereas items with an active stock count show the remaining quantity directly on the button.
