Creating new checks from the Floor Plan function in Salido offers several advantages. The Floor Plan view visually represents the restaurant layout, displaying which tables are occupied and which are vacant. This information helps staff manage table assignments efficiently, avoid seating conflicts, and facilitate communication among servers, hosts, and management.
To Create a New Check from the Floor Plan Menu:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tapto bring up the POS options
3. Tap on "Floor Plan" to bring up the floor plan view
4. Select the appropriate Revenue Center from the display in the top left of the screen to display the active floor plan for that Revenue Center

5. Tap the desired table within the interface to create a check for that specific table
6. Select the Order Type, Party Size, Revenue Center, and Table and tap "Add New Check"
Order Type, Party Size, and Revenue Center are mandatory fields. The server does not need to select a table to create a new check.
- Order Type: 'To Go', 'Dine-In', and 'Delivery', are all examples of different custom Order Types that might suit your business.
- Party Size: # of People in a group that wishes to be seated.
- Revenue Center: a physical area of the restaurant (e.g., Bar, Dining Room, Patio) or any non-physical revenue stream you come up with that you want to track.
- Table: Any seat or group of seating in your establishment's layout should be listed as a table here.
7. Tap the Menu Group to show the Menu Items in that group
To search for an item by name, tap the search bar and begin typing the Menu Item's name
8. Tap the desired Menu Item(s) to add to the check
- If the Menu Item has Modifiers, tap the desired choice(s) and click Save
- To assign the item to a seat position, tap the corresponding button for that position
- Repeat the above process until all ordered Menu Items have been added to the Check
9. Once the order is ready to be prepared, tap Send
