To obtain an accurate snapshot of your restaurant's current customer dynamics, it is crucial to have access to real-time information, as each employee may need different views for their particular role.
- Front desk receptionists benefit from viewing the table's seating capacity and open time, allowing them to manage customer seating and waiting lines effectively.
- Servers may have individual preferences based on their specific duties and workflow.
- Managers seek an overview of all tables, including the assigned servers and the progress of each table.
To Adjust the View of the Floor Plan:
1. If logged out to the PIN screen for inactivity, enter your PIN and tap to log back into the POS device
2. At the top right of the POS screen, tap to bring up the POS options
3. Tap on "Floor Plan" to bring up the floor plan view
4. Select the appropriate Revenue Center from the selection bar at the top left of the screen to display the active floor plan for that Revenue Center
5. Click the button in the bottom right of the screen to bring up the view options
Here, you can choose the information to display about each table:
- Time Since First Opened: Displays the time guests were seated, using a 12-hour format.
- Time Since Last Ordered: Indicates the time elapsed since the customer(s) placed their order, measured in minutes.
- Party Size: Represents the number of people seated at the table.
- Server: Identifies the server who created the check at the table, shown using the server's initials.
