Minor policies manage the work schedules of minor employees to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor regulations. These policies enable administrators to monitor age limits, maximum hours worked, and specific time ranges permitted for shifts during business hours. Utilizing minor policies allows the Salido system to:
Establish specific work hour thresholds for different age groups (14, 15, 16, or 17 years old).
Define daily and weekly maximums for hours and days worked.
Set mandatory start and end time boundaries for minor workdays.
Apply labor rules to specific Job Positions across individual Locations or Labor Groups.
To Create a New Minor Policy:
1. Navigate to the Staff section in the Bridge and click on Labor Policy
2. Under the Minor Policy tab, click + New Minor Policy
3. Enter a name for the policy, e.g., "20-Hour Max Dishwashing Policy for Minors."
- With a policy like this one, the manager would be notified of a minor working more than 20 hours.
4. Select at least one location or multiple locations using a location group to apply the New Minor Policy
