Pairing a card reader with a terminal is fundamental in setting up your Salido terminal for seamless payment transactions. For detailed instructions on your EPX-approved card reader, please refer to the manufacturer's guidance included with your device.
To Pair a Card Reader to a POS Terminal Using the Card Reader Icon:
1. Ensure the card reader is physically connected to the terminal using the correct cable
2. Tap the card reader icon in the top right corner
3. Tap the Connect Reader button
4. Tap on the device you want to pair from the list, then press the 'Connect' button to establish the connection
5. Depending on which screen you are currently on, the card reader icon will either disappear or the flashing red light will turn solid green to let you know the connection was successful
To Pair a Card Reader to a POS Terminal in the Settings Menu:
1. Once logged into the POS, navigate to the Settings menu by tapping it on the selection screen
2. Tap the 'Card Reader' button in the menu on the left
3. Make sure the card reader is connected to the terminal, then press the 'Pair' button located in the top right corner
4. Tap on the device you want to pair from the list, then press the 'Connect' button to establish the connection
5. You will now see the newly paired card reader listed in the terminal
6. Depending on which screen you navigate to next, the card reader icon will either disappear or the flashing red light will turn solid green to let you know the connection was successful
